For your online safety and security, we require that you enter your Credit Card's verification number (CVV) before we can process your payment.
As shown below, the Card Verification Number (CVV) is the last three digit number printed on the signature panel located on the back of your card.
The CVV is a security feature that allows Aer Arann and your credit card issuer to identify you as the cardholder and provide you with additional security against fraud.

IDENTIFICATION FOR TRAVEL.
It is the responsibility of each passenger to present valid travel documentation that is acceptable to Aer Arann, immigration and all other governmental authorities at every destination. Expired forms of photo ID will not be accepted. Failure to present valid photo ID matching the name(s) on your reservation will result in passengers being refused check-in without refund. In the event that any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures are incurred due to a breach of this requirement, these shall be paid by or charged to the passenger personally.
Aer Arann recommends that you carry a valid passport on all journeys.
1.1 International & Domestic flights to, from and within the U.K.
Effective from 5th March 2007 photo ID will be required on our Dublin- Cork-Dublin route.
Passengers must present valid photo-ID at check-in for international flights and Domestic flights within the UK.
The only accepted forms of photo ID for the UK are:
• Valid passport
• Valid driving licence with photo
• Valid national ID with photo
• International Student Card
• Bus Pass with photo
• Work ID with photo
• Northern Ireland Electoral Card. (With Photo.)
• NATO/ U.N. Military I.D.
• Disability Card with Photo
A child between 12-16 years travelling alone within Ireland or U.K. or between Ireland and the U.K. must produce a Form of Photo I.D.
1.2 Continental Europe
The only accepted forms of photo ID for Continental Europe are:
• Valid passport.
• Valid National ID with photo. No other forms of photo-ID are acceptable.
• Children under the age of 16 (including infants) travelling from France to Ireland/UK must have their own passport or ID Card unless they are included on the passport with whom they are travelling
Young people between 12 –17yrs may travel alone from France if they have a valid (i) French Passport or (ii) a National Identity Card accompanied by a City Council certificate with the official seal stating the parent/guardians name(s). In both instances a Young Flyers Indemnity Form must be completed by the parent(s)/guardian(s) at the departure airport.
1.3 Maiden / Marriage Name
Passengers with a reservation in their married name but whose passport states their maiden name must present their marriage certificate showing both names.
BAGGAGE INFORMATION.
2.1 BAGGAGE POLICY.
Aer Arann requires that all checked baggage is clearly identifiable with your name and address and contact numbers or alternatively your flight confirmation number. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in a significant delay in the delivery of your baggage should your baggage be misplaced. A notice of baggage liability limitations can be found in the Air Carriers Liability Notice for passengers and their baggage. Passengers are advised to familiarise themselves with these conditions prior to travel on an Aer Arann flight. You should ensure that you have suitable private insurance cover for your journey. Certain items are not permitted for carriage in Checked or Unchecked Baggage. These are listed below under the details of ‘Dangerous Articles in Baggage’.
2.1.1 BAGGAGE:
In addition to these conditions, Aer Arann also has the following policy with regard to baggage:
In the course of normal handling, your luggage may show signs of wear and tear.
Aer Arann accepts no responsibility for such minor cuts, scratches and dents.
Aer Arann also does not accept responsibility for any damage caused to or as a result of damage caused to the following items:
• Items that protrude from luggage such as wheels, luggage feet and handles
• Items of a fragile (musical and sporting equipment) or perishable nature
• Over packed bags
• Loss of external locks, zips, pull straps or security straps
• Manufacturer’s defects
• Baggage accepted after the check-in closure time.
• Baggage containing valuable items.
• Designer Baggage
• Umbrellas.
• Child’s pushchair/buggy.
PACKAGING
Passengers should ensure that fragile items (including but not limited to Sports Equipment, Musical Instruments, Computers / Laptops, Art, Infant Equipment etc) should be packaged adequately for Air Travel in a hard shell robust container or protected suitably e.g. Bubble wrap. Should the item be deemed to be unsuitably packaged we can refuse travel without refund.
Please note therefore, that any minor damage to such items which does not affect the functionality (ie ‘working order’) of the item in question will not be compensated for, as the passenger will be deemed to have accepted the risk that such minor damage can and may occur. These items are only carried on a limited release basis: (i.e. entirely ‘at your own risk’ for loss, damage, or delay). You should therefore ensure that you have suitable private insurance cover for your journey.
2.1.2 BAGGAGE CONTENTS
Aer Arann accepts no responsibility for any of the following items included in Checked Baggage; money, jewellery, valuable/designer items, fragile items, cameras, computers, mobile phones, lap tops, personal electronic devices (such as I-pods/Mp3 Players/walkman/discman etc), negotiable papers, securities, medication, precious metals, keys, business documents, passports and other identification documents or samples. These items are only carried on a limited release basis: (i.e. ‘at your own risk’ for loss, damage, or delay). You should therefore ensure that you have suitable private insurance cover for your journey.
2.2 BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
Checked baggage allowance:
20kgs per passenger on all flights. The maximum total weight for any one piece of checked baggage is 32kgs.
Infant Baggage weight Allowance - Nil
Stroller/ Buggy Allowance - 1 piece per infant booked
2.3 INFANT EQUIPMENT.
Infant Equipment including but not limited to prams, buggies, cots, and car seats are considered to be inherently unsuitable for carriage by air. It is possible to carry such items to the aircraft and such items will be loaded as checked baggage at that time. Aer Arann is prepared to carry such items on a ‘Limited Release’ (i.e. entirely ‘at your own risk’ for loss, damage, or delay) basis. You should therefore ensure that you have suitable private insurance cover for your journey. Only 1 piece of infant equipment is permitted per infant booked.
Please note that damage to infant equipment that does not affect the functionality (ie ‘working order’) of the item in question will not be compensated for as the passenger is deemed to accept such minor damage can and may occur in transit to such items.
2.4 CABIN BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE.
One piece of cabin baggage is permitted per passenger, which must not weigh more that 7 Kg and must be small enough to fit comfortably in the overhead bin or under the seat in front not exceeding 20cm x 28cm x 43cm (8x11x17ins). Passengers should carry all medication in their cabin baggage.
2.4.1 CABIN BAGGAGE SECURITY REGULATIONS
As per EC Regulation 1546/2006 only very small quantities of liquids and gels may be brought through passenger screening. Containers must be no more than 100 millilitres capacity and held in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag (which must be sealed). Bags must be less than 1 litre capacity (approx. 20cm x 20cm). 1 plastic bag is allowed per passenger. Medicines, Special Diet Products and Baby Foods are allowed if essential for use during the trip and passengers may be asked to prove that these products are genuine.
2.5 EXCESS BAGGAGE.
Excess baggage may be accepted if space is available, on payment of the appropriate excess baggage fees. EUR €7 per kilo / GBP £4.50 per kilo is payable for excess baggage on all Aer Arann flights.
2.6 CARRIAGE OF PETS:
Carriage of Pets is only permitted on Ireland domestic and UK flights to and from Ireland.
On Aer Arann flights the carriage of pets is permitted in the baggage hold of the aircraft only. Pets must be contained in a crate, which is escape-proof, leak-proof
and of sufficient size to allow the pet to stand up, turn around and lie down fully stretched.
The maximum dimensions permitted in an ATR42 and ATR72 aircraft are 21 ins. high X 22 ins. wide X 50 ins. long.
Domestic Dogs and cats must be at least 10 weeks old before Aer Arann will transport them. Aer Arann will accept no other pets or animals or birds for travel.
Rates: the pet and container need to be weighed separately from any other baggage you may have. You are liable for a fee of EUR €25/GBP£18 per pet per sector/ flight.
Aer Arann will accept up to 2 pets for travel per flight. They must be in their individual containers.
Carriage of Pets is on a ‘Space Available’ basis only. A pet may be refused travel up to and including the scheduled departure time.
Guide dogs accompanying Passengers with disabilities will be carried free of charge in addition to the normal free baggage allowance. The airline must be advised in advance of travel.
Where carriage is not subject to the liability rules of the Convention, we are not responsible for injury to or loss, sickness or death of an animal, which we have agreed to carry unless we have been negligent.
PETS THAT CANNOT BE ACCEPTED FOR TRAVEL:
The following pets cannot be accepted for travel on Aer Arann:
Puppies or kittens under 10 weeks old.
An animal that is more than 6 weeks pregnant. Pets so sedated, they cannot stand up.
RESTRICTED DOG BREEDS:
The following types of dogs cannot be accepted for travel, including cross-breeds:
Boxer Dogs, Snub-nosed dogs, American Pit Bulls, Pit Bull Terriers, Japanese Tosas, Fila Brazileiros, Togo Argentinos, all Bull dogs, Pugs, Pekinese. ( These snub-nosed dogs suffer from respiratory problems that increase with stress and so cannot be accepted for travel.)
2.6 MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS.
Large delicate musical instruments that exceed our cabin baggage dimensions may be carried in the cabin if a seat for it has been reserved and the appropriate fare paid. All Musical Instruments accepted for carriage will be accepted on a ‘Limited Release’ (i.e. entirely ‘at your own risk’ for loss, damage, or delay) basis. You should therefore ensure that you have suitable private insurance cover for your journey.
2.7 SPORTING EQUIPMENT
The carriage of out of gauge baggage such as sporting equipment, which cannot be checked in the normal manner as it requires special handling (including but
not limited to: golf clubs, bicycles, surf boards (max 2 per flt)) is subject to an additional charge of EUR €30 / GBP £20 per sector (flight) and per item irrespective of weight. Due to space restrictions we recommend that all sporting equipment is pre-booked and pre-paid by calling your local reservation centre, as not to do so may result in the item being refused carriage at the airport. Such items are considered “out of gauge baggage” and will be accepted after payment, for travel on a ‘Space Available’ standby basis. The maximum length of any item (including cover) that can be accepted is 6 foot 9 inches. A fee must also be paid for the carriage of such sporting equipment on the return journey. Aer Arann reserves the right to collect the fees from passengers for the carriage of such equipment on their return sector instead of before the outward sector.
If due to additional space restrictions such out of gauge baggage cannot travel on the flight, it will be carried, on the next service where space is available and can be collected by the passenger at the destination airport upon arrival there.
Aer Arann carries such items of Sporting Equipment on a ‘Limited Release’ (i.e. ‘at your own risk’ for loss, damage, or delay) basis. You should therefore ensure that you have suitable private insurance cover for your journey.
2.8 SPORTING WEAPONS/ FIREARMS.
Aer Arann does not permit the carriage of weapons, firearms or ammunition.
2.9 Collection of Fees
Aer Arann reserves the right to collect the fees from passengers for the carriage of any outsize equipment on their return sector instead of before the outward sector.
CONDUCT ABOARD AIRCRAFT.
3.1 GENERAL:
You are not permitted to smoke in any part of an aircraft operated by Aer Arann.
You are not permitted to consume your own alcohol aboard an aircraft. We reserve the right to refuse to serve or sell alcohol to any passenger on board the aircraft.
For safety reasons, we may forbid or limit operation aboard the aircraft of electronic equipment, including but not limited to cellular telephones, laptop computers, portable recorders, transmitting devices, radio controlled toys or walkie-talkies, CD players, I Pods or other similar items, electronic games devices and portable radios.
Operation of hearing aids and heart pace makers is permitted.
If, in our reasonable opinion, you conduct yourself aboard the aircraft so as to endanger the aircraft or any person or property on board, or obstruct the crew in the performance of their duties, or fail to comply with any instructions of the crew including but not limited to those with respect to smoking, alcohol or drug consumption, or behave in a manner which causes discomfort, inconvenience, damage or injury to other passengers or the crew, we may take such measures
as we deem reasonably necessary to prevent continuation of such conduct, including restraint. You may be disembarked and refused onward carriage at any point, and reported to the relevant authorities with a view to having you prosecuted for any criminal offences committed on board the aircraft.
If as a result of your behaviour we divert the aircraft for the purposes of offloading you, you must pay us the costs of the diversion and any fines or penalties imposed on the airline by the government of the country to which we have diverted.
RIGHT TO REFUSE CARRIAGE.
In the reasonable exercise of our discretion, we may refuse to carry you or your baggage if we have notified you in writing that we would not at any time after the date of such notice carry you on our flight. In this circumstance you will be entitled to a refund.
We may also refuse to carry you or your baggage if one or more of the following have occurred or we reasonably believe may occur:
(a) Such action is necessary in order to comply with any applicable government laws, regulations, or orders;
(b) The carriage of you or your baggage may endanger or affect the safety of the aircraft, or the safety, health, comfort of other passengers or crew;
(c) Your mental or physical state, including your impairment from alcohol or drugs, presents a hazard or risk to yourself, to passengers, to crew or to property;
(d) You have committed misconduct on a previous flight and we have reason to believe that such conduct may be repeated;
(e) You have refused to submit to a security check on you or your baggage.
(f) You have not paid the applicable fare, taxes, fees or charges;
(g) You owe us any money in respect of a previous flight owing to payment having been dishonoured, denied or recharged against us.
(h) You do not appear to have valid travel documents, may seek to enter a country through which you may be in transit, or for which you do not have valid travel documents, destroy your travel documents during flight, refuse to surrender your travel documents to the flight crew, against receipt, when so requested or refuse to allow us to photocopy your travel documents.
(i) You presented a ticket that has been acquired unlawfully, has been purchased from an entity other than us or an authorised agent, or has been reported as being lost or stolen, is a counterfeit, or you cannot prove that you were the person named in the ticket.
(j) You failed to observe our instructions with respect to safety or security.
(k) You have used threatening, abusive or insulting words towards our ground staff or crew of the aircraft.
(l) You have deliberately interfered with a member of the crew of the aircraft carrying out their duties.
(m)You have made a hoax threat relating to bombs, biological or chemical weapons.
(n) You have put the safety of either the aircraft or any person in it in danger.
(o) You have committed a criminal offence during the check in or boarding process or on board the aircraft.
If we have, in the reasonable exercise of our discretion under this Article refused to carry you on the basis of any of the above, or have removed you en route, we may cancel the remaining unused portion of your ticket and you will not be
entitled to further carriage or to a refund in respect of the sector(s) covered by the ticket. We will not be liable for any consequential loss or damage alleged due to any such refusal to carry or your removal en route.
CHECK-IN AND BOARDING INFORMATION.
5.1 CHECK-IN
Aer Arann recommends that passengers check in 1 hour prior to scheduled departure. Check-in closes 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Check-in closes at Sligo, Donegal and Knock Airports 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
5.2 BOARDING
You should be at the boarding gate at least 20 minutes prior to departure. Boarding closes 10 minutes prior to departure. Passengers arriving late to the boarding gate will not be accepted for travel. Aer Arann reserves the right to cancel your reservation without refund, in such circumstances. We may cancel the space reserved for you if you fail to arrive at the boarding gate in time. We will not be liable to you for any loss or expense incurred due to your failure to comply with check-in deadlines or to arrive at the boarding gate in time. Should you wish to travel on a later flight, you will be required to make a new booking at the applicable fare. Passengers with Y class bookings, who have checked-in but who arrive late to the boarding gate can re-book on a later flight after paying a change fee of EUR €25/GBP £18 per sector, subject to availability on a standby basis.
FLIGHT CANCELLATIONS , REROUTINGS, SCHEDULE CHANGES AND WEATHER.
6.1 SCHEDULE CHANGES.
If your flight is rescheduled by more than 30 minutes earlier or later than the original flight time we will endeavour to contact you (via phone or email or sms) using the details presented to the airline or authorized agent at the time of booking. The flight times shown in timetables may change between the date of publication and the date you actually travel. We do not guarantee them to you and they do not form part of your contract with us.
If the new scheduled time is earlier than the time you were advised we will endeavour to contact you (via phone or email or sms) using the details presented to the airline or authorized agent at the time of booking. If the time change is greater than 2 hours, and this is unsuitable to you, all monies including taxes will be refunded in full.
6.2 CANCELLATIONS.
If we cancel a flight we will endeavour to contact you in advance (via phone or email or sms) through the contact details presented to the airline or authorized agent at the time of booking. We shall act in accordance with the Montreal Convention and EC regulation 261/2004 and except as otherwise provided therein and subject to Article 6.2.4, we shall at your option; 6.2.1 carry you at the earliest opportunity on another of our scheduled services on which space is available without additional charge and, where necessary, extend the validity of your ticket or
6.2.2 within a reasonable period of time re-route you to the destination shown on your Ticket by our own services or those of another Carrier, or by other mutually agreed means and class of transportation without additional charge or
6.2.3 make a refund in accordance with the provisions of Article 9.
6.2.4 When a flight is cancelled the options outlined in Article 6.2.1 through to 6.2.3 are the sole and exclusive remedies available to you and we shall have no further liability to you. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage occasioned by such cancellation and the remedies mentioned in Article 6.2.1 through to 6.2.3 will be available to you at our discretion, if we have taken all reasonably necessary measures to avoid the damage or it was impossible for us to take such measures.
6.3 DELAYS
If your flight is delayed we may endeavour to contact you (via phone or sms) through the details presented at the time of booking if reasonably practicable. We will take all necessary measures to avoid delay in carrying you and your baggage.
A refund can be requested for the part or parts of the journey not made if your flight is delayed for over five hours and you choose not to travel.
In the exercise of these measures and in order to prevent a flight cancellation, in exceptional circumstances we may arrange for a flight to be operated on our behalf by an alternative carrier and/or aircraft.
6.4 DIVERSIONS.
Aer Arann will employ its best efforts to carry passengers and baggage with reasonable dispatch. Flights affected by adverse weather conditions or for any other reason may cause disruption to passengers. Times shown in timetables or elsewhere are not guaranteed and form no part of this contract. Carrier may without notice divert to alternative airports or offer alternative form of aircraft or surface transport in case of necessity. Schedules are subject to change without notice.
6.5 CONNECTING FLIGHTS
Aer Arann accepts no responsibility for connecting flights where passengers hold separate tickets that are not with our agreed interline partners.
RESERVATION CHANGES
7.1 CHANGES.
Flight dates and times can be changed up to 30 minutes prior to check-in closure, subject to availability, by contacting Aer Arann Reservations (Mon–Fri 9am-7pm, Sat 9am-6pm, Sun & Bank Holidays 10am-4pm), the departure airport or changes can also be made on www.aerarann.com. A minimum change fee of EUR €25 for domestic flights and EUR €25/GBP £18 for UK flights, per person per change transaction (except Y class bookings) is applicable.
Flight date and time changes require you to pay the difference in price between the original fare paid and the available fare for the new booking at the time. If the available fare is lower on the new flight, no refund will be made.
7.2 MISSED FLIGHT:
A missed flight fee of €50/£35 is payable where a passenger arrives late (maximum one hour after scheduled departure time) for their flight and wishes to book onto a new flight. This fee is only available at the departure airport. This change must be made on the same day of the original flight.
Bookings made in Y class are not liable for any change fee or for the missed flight fee up to 1 hour after schedule departure time.
If you fail to contact an authorized agent or us within 1 hour after the scheduled departure time, you must purchase a new ticket. The original flight in non refundable. (Y- Class bookings can avail of a refund less the applicable administrative charges but must purchase a new ticket for travel.)
7.3 ROUTE CHANGES:
Route changes can only be made through Aer Arann Reservations (Mon–Fri 9am-7pm, Sat 9am-6pm, Sun & Bank Holiday 10am-4pm) or the departure airport. Route changes are permitted prior to commencement of outbound sector, up to 30 minutes prior to check-in closure and restricted to country and currency used at original booking. A fee of EUR€25/GBP£18 per person per change transaction is applicable. If the new fare booked is higher that the original fare, an upgrade must also be paid amounting to the difference between the two fares. If the fare available on the new flight is lower than the original fare, no refund will be made.
7.4 NAME CHANGES:
Name changes can only be made through Aer Arann Reservations (Mon–Fri 9am-7pm, Sat 9am-6pm, Sun & Bank Holiday 10am-4pm) or the departure airport. Name changes are permitted prior to commencement of outbound sector, up to 30 minutes prior to check-in closure. A fee of EUR€40/GBP£28 per name per booking is applicable.
7.5 LOST/ STOLEN TICKETS:
Except in the case of an Electronic Ticket, you shall not be entitled to be carried on a flight unless you present a valid Ticket containing the Flight Coupon for that flight and all other unused Flight Coupons and the Passenger Coupon at the time of Check-in. In addition, you shall not be entitled to be carried if the Ticket presented is mutilated or if it has been altered otherwise than by us or our Authorised Agent. In case of loss or mutilation of a Ticket (or part of it) by you or non-presentation of a Ticket containing the Passenger Coupon and all unused Flight Coupons, issued by an official Aer Arann Agent, travel will be permitted upon payment of a ‘Lost Ticket Fee’ provided there is evidence, readily ascertainable at the time, that a Ticket valid for the flight(s) in question was duly issued and you sign an agreement to reimburse us for any costs and losses, up to the value of the original ticket, which are necessarily and reasonably incurred by us for misuse of the Ticket. We will not claim reimbursement from you for any such losses, which result from our own negligence. The applicable administration fee for this service, unless the loss or mutilation was due to the negligence of the issuing carrier, or its agent, is EUR €25/GBP £18. If another airline or an authorized agent on behalf of another airline issued the Ticket, that specific airline must re-issue the Ticket. If this is not physically possible at the Departure Airport, you must purchase a new Ticket for travel.
If, upon finding the original Ticket before the expiry of its validity, you surrender it to the carrier issuing the new Ticket, the foregoing refund will be processed at that time.
Failure to present your valid Ticket at the Boarding Gate will result in refusal of travel. If the Ticket was issued by an authorized Aer Arann Agent, travel will be permitted upon payment of EUR €25/GBP £18. No cash can be taken at the Boarding Gates.
A ticket is valuable and you should take appropriate measures to safeguard it and ensure it is not lost or stolen.
7.6 PERSONAL DATA
We may use the personal data that you have given us for the purposes of:
• making a reservation and issuing a ticket;
• providing you with your travel and any ancillary services which you wish to avail of;
• accounting, billing and auditing;
• verification of credit or other charge cards;
• immigration, security and customs control;
• statistical analysis;
For these purposes, we may transmit your personal data to:
• our own offices;
• our Authorised Agents;
• Government agencies;
• other Carriers and service providers involved in providing your transportation or ancillary services;
• credit and charge card companies;
• data processing companies working on our behalf.
Some of these companies/entities may be located outside the European Union.
We may also wish to use your personal data to provide you with information which we think you may find of interest. This may include information about services, products, special offers and promotions offered by Aer Arann, other Carriers and service providers. However, you will be given an opportunity to choose not to receive such information.
PAYMENT INFORMATION.
8.1 CURRENCY
Fares, taxes, fees and charges are payable in the currency of the country in which the Ticket is issued, unless another currency is indicated by us or our Authorised Agent at or before the time payment is made.
We reserve the right to make a refund in the same manner and same currency used to pay for the Ticket.
8.2 CREDIT, CHARGE, DEBIT- CARD HANDLING FEES.
Aer Arann levies a handling fee of EUR7.00/GBP5.50 for Amex, Diners and AirPlus cards. EUR6.00/GBP4.50 per booking for Visa and MasterCard an d EU R1.50/GBP1.00 per booking for all debit cards. The fee is applicable on payment of the initial reservation only and does not apply to subsequent changes, fees, or cancellations. If a credit/debit/charge card is dishonoured, denied or recharged against us an administration fee of EUR €80/GBP £50 will additionally be levied in cash.
8.3 Fuel Surcharge
Aer Arann levies a fuel surcharge of EUR €5.00/GBP £3.50 per passenger per sector.
9- REFUNDS POLICY
All refund requests and queries must be in writing via email refunds@aerarann.com or post to the Refunds Department, Aer Arann, The Atrium, Dublin Airport, Co. Dublin, Ireland. Only Y class Aer Arann bookings are refundable subject to an admin fee of EUR €30/£22.50 . Any requests for refunds of taxes will be refunded less an admin fee of €30/£22.50 per sector per person. If a flight is cancelled and the passenger refuses alternative travel arrangements, the portion of the flight cancelled is fully refundable. If there is a schedule change of greater than 2 hours of the original time, the full booking is refundable. A refund is not applicable if a flight is cancelled due to illness.
ITINERARIES / TICKET COLLECTION
Aer Arann provides facilities for the collection of itineraries / tickets at the first departure airport. Where itineraries / tickets are to be collected, it is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure adequate time is allowed to enable check-in to be performed. The airline takes no responsibility for late arrival at check-in due to delays in the itinerary / ticket issuance process.
AIRPORT CHARGES AND TAXES.
10.1 **NOTICE OF GOVERNMENT IMPOSED TAXES AND FEES**
The price of your ticket may include taxes and fees which are imposed on air transportation by government authorities, other agencies and the airport. These taxes, fees and charges, which may represent a significant portion of the cost of air travel, are either included in the fare, or shown separately in the >>TAX<< box(es) of this ticket.
You will also be required to pay for newly introduced taxes, fees or charges not already collected or alternatively for the outstanding difference if such taxes, fees or charges have been increased by the relevant authority after you made your booking but before you are due to travel. Please note that t hese charges are independent of Aer Arann, are not imposed by Aer Arann and will be collected by the same method of payment that you used initially.
10.2 AIRPORT CHARGES
In the case of passengers departing from Waterford Airport, a EUR €5 airport development fee is payable on departure.
In the case of passengers departing from Kerry Airport, an airport development fee of EUR €6 payable at the time of booking and is included in the fare.
In the case of passengers departing from Newquay airport, an airport development fee of GBP £5 is payable on departure.
In the case of passengers departing from Ireland West Airport Knock, an airport development fee of EUR €10.00 is payable on departure.
These charges are independent of Aer Arann and are subject to change, locations and amounts.
INFANTS AND YOUNG PERSONS.
11.1 CARRIAGE OF INFANTS
Infants under the age of 2 years may fly on Aer Arann flights provided that they sit on an adult’s lap (one infant per adult) and a fee of EUR €10/GBP £7 is charged one way. No baby / car seats are allowed in the cabin of the aircraft. A maximum of 6 infants only can be carried on board the aircraft. If the infant reaches the age of 2 years prior to the return journey they must pay the applicable fare, taxes, fees and charges for that part of the journey.
11.2 UNACCOMPANIED MINORS (UMS) AND YOUNG PERSONS (YPS)
Aer Arann will not accept unaccompanied children under 12 years of age for travel on Aer Arann scheduled services.
Children under 12 years of age cannot travel unless accompanied by a person of 16 years of age or older, who will take full responsibility for the child. The person taking responsibility for the child under 12 years of age will be required to sign the Aer Arann Young Flyers form of indemnity or equivalent used by handling agent.
Note: Aer Arann will accept unaccompanied minors on flights to and from the IOM only. They are classified as those who have reached their 6 th birthday but not yet reached their 12th birthday. No more than 2 unaccompanied minors on an ATR 42 or 4 unaccompanied minors on an ATR72 can be accepted on any one sector
Aer Arann will continue to accept passengers aged 12-15 inclusive travelling alone but will not provide special assistance for these passengers.
The Aer Arann Young Flyers form of indemnity or the equivalent used by Handling Agents must be completed by a parent/guardian for these passengers at each airport of departure. The guardian must present valid photo ID for the Young Person.
ARTICLE 12- SPECIAL ASSISTANCE
12.1 GENERAL
Acceptance for carriage of incapacitated persons, pregnant women, persons with illness or other people requiring special assistance is subject to prior arrangement with us. Passengers with disabilities who have advised us of any special requirements they may have at the time of ticketing, and been accepted by us, shall not subsequently be refused carriage on the basis of such disability or special requirements.
Passengers requiring medication for any condition must ensure that they keep sufficient amounts upon their person for the duration of each flight in case it is required at any time.
Aer Arann or the relevant Airport Authorities will provide wheelchair facilities free of charge to any passengers requiring assistance. Passengers are required to advise the airline in advance of travel if any assistance is required.
12.2 PREGNANT PASSENGERS:
It is the responsibility of all pregnant passengers to advise Aer Arann of their condition at the time of booking.
Up to 28 weeks : Aer Arann will carry pregnant women without a doctor's certificate Aer Arann handling staff may request the individual to sign an indemnity confirming that they are less than 28 weeks pregnant.
28-36 weeks : Pregnant passengers are required to present a recent doctor’s letter at the time of check-in confirming they are fit to travel within a certain
period (covering dates of travel) and advising the delivery due date. If no letter is presented, Aer Arann reserves the right to refuse travel.
36 weeks and over : Aer Arann will not carry pregnant passengers over 36 weeks pregnant.
2.3 OXYGEN
Passengers cannot travel with their own oxygen for use within the cabin.
Aer Arann will supply oxygen to any passenger who requires it for travel. Aer Arann Reservations must be advised at least 7 days prior to travel. A fee of €90 per sector is applicable for the oxygen supplied. Passengers must also produce a recent doctor’s letter stating that they are fit to travel without medical assistance within a certain period (covering dates of travel). Passengers requiring oxygen are invited to produce this letter on the day of travel and failure to produce this letter could result in the refusal of travel. (Further specific details are available from the Reservations Centre.) The Carrier will not be liable for consequences arising from the use of the oxygen supplied.
12.4 MEDICAL SYRINGES
If for medical reasons, passengers need to inject themselves during the flight (e.g. diabetics) they are permitted to carry epi-pens and syringes in the cabin. They will be asked to produce medical evidence (a doctor’s letter will suffice) when they check in or at security screenings and this should be kept with the passenger at all times. If any at stage during the flight the passenger needs to inject him/herself, cabin crew should be notified and the medication will be administered under their supervision.

ARTICLE 13 – CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT
PASSENGER NOTICE
1. Carriage hereunder is subject to the rules and limitations relating to liability established by the Conventions unless such carriage is not "international carriage" as defined by that Convention.
2. To the extent not in conflict with the foregoing carriage and other services performed by each carrier are subject to: (i) provisions contained in the ticket, (ii) applicable tariffs, (iii) carrier's conditions of carriage and related regulations which are made part hereof (and are available on application at the offices of carrier), except in transportation between a place in the United States or Canada and any place outside thereof to which tariffs in force in those countries apply.
3. Carrier's name may be abbreviated in the ticket, the full name and its abbreviation being set forth in carrier's tariffs, conditions of carriage, regulations or timetables; carrier's address shall be the airport of departure shown opposite the first abbreviation of carrier's name in the ticket; the agreed stopping places are those places set forth in this ticket or as shown in carrier's timetables as scheduled stopping places on the passenger's route; carriage to be performed hereunder by several successive carriers is regarded as a single operation.
4. An air carrier issuing a ticket for carriage over the lines of another air carrier does so only as its Agent.
5. Any exclusion or limitation of liability of carrier shall apply to and be for the benefit of agents, servants and representatives of carrier and any person whose aircraft is used by carrier for carriage and its agents, servants and representatives.
6. No agent, servant or representative of carrier has authority to alter, modify or waive any provision of this contract. Carriage is subject to the above Conditions of Contract and to the Aer Arann General Conditions of Carriage.
7. For damages up to 100,000 Special Drawing Rights (approximately EUR 123,000) the air carrier shall not exclude or limit it’s liability by proving that it has taken all necessary measures to avoid the damage or that it was impossible for the air carrier to take such measures. Notwithstanding this provision, if the air carrier can prove that the damage was caused by, or contributed to by, the negligence of the injured or deceased passenger the air carrier may be exonerated wholly or partly from it’s liability in accordance with applicable law.’
**EU NOTICE REQUIREMENT**
If your journey involves a destination or stop in a country other than the one from which you depart, the Conventions may govern the liability of all airlines involved in your journey, including any portion thereof within a single country. This Convention limits the liability of airlines for death or bodily injury and for baggage loss, delay, or damage. Many air carriers, including all European Community air carriers, have waived the Conventions limits for death or bodily injury and the defence that they have taken all necessary measures to avoid the damage for the first 100,000 Special Drawing Rights of any such claim. In addition, in cases of bodily injury or death, many air carriers will make advance payments to the person entitled to compensation, if required to meet immediate economic needs in proportion to the hardship suffered. Community air carriers make such payments in accordance with Community Law. Other carriers may apply alternate provisions. We are not responsible for any illness, injury or disability, including death, attributable to your physical condition or for the aggravation of such condition.
**ADVICE TO NON-INTERNATIONAL PASSENGERS ON LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY**
Passengers on a journey involving transportation wholly within Ireland are advised that the Conventions may be applicable and the Convention governs and in most cases limits the liability of Carriers for death or personal injury and in respect of loss of or damage to baggage.
ARTICLE 14 –
PROHIBITED ARTICLES
**DANGEROUS ARTICLES IN BAGGAGE**
For safety reasons, dangerous articles such as those listed below, must not be carried in passengers cabin or hold baggage. Compressed gases (deeply refrigerated, flammable, non-flammable and poisonous) such as butane, oxygen, liquid nitrogen, aqualung cylinders and compressed gas cylinders; items with internal combustion engines: such as chainsaws, model aircraft, and lawnmowers. Corrosives, such as acids, alkalis, WET CELL BATTERIES, and items containing mercury (e.g. thermometers) or chlorine. Explosives, munitions, ammunition including blank cartridges, hand guns, shot guns, fireworks, Christmas crackers, flares and pistol caps. Flammable liquids and solids, such as lighters that need inverting before ignition, lighter fuel, MATCHES (safety matches may be carried on the person), firelighters, paints and thinners.
Radioactive materials. Oxidising materials, such as bleaching powder and peroxides. Poisons and infectious substances, such as insecticides, weed killers and live virus materials. Briefcases and attaché cases with installed alarm devices. Other dangerous articles, such as magnetised material, offensive or irritating materials. Medicines and toiletries in limited quantities required by passengers during the journey, such as hairsprays, perfumes and medicines might be carried.
Guns, Firearms & Weapons; any object capable, or appearing capable, of discharging a projectile or causing injury, including, all firearms (pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, etc.), Replica and imitation firearms, Component parts of firearms (excluding telescopic sighting devices & sights), Air pistols, rifles and pellet guns, Signal flare pistols, Starter pistols, Toy guns of all types, Ball bearing guns, Industrial bolt and nail guns, Crossbows and Arrows, Catapults, Harpoon and spear guns, Animal humane killers, Stun or shocking devices, e.g., cattle prods, ballistic conducted energy weapons (lasers), Lighters shaped like a firearm, Ice Axes and Ice Picks, Open razors and blades (excluding safety or disposable razors with blades enclosed in cartridges),
Pointed/Edged Weapons & Sharp Objects; pointed or bladed articles capable of causing injury, including, Axes and hatchets, Crampons, Harpoons and spears, Lockable or flick knives with blades of any length, ceremonial knives, with blades of more than 6 cm., made of metal or any other material strong enough to be used as a potential weapon, Meat cleavers, Machetes, Sabres, swords and swordsticks, Scalpels, Scissors with blades more than 6 cm. in length,
Explosives and flammable Substances; any explosive or highly combustible substances which poses a risk to the health of passengers and crew or the security/safety of aircraft or property, including, Ammunition, Blasting caps, Detonators and fuses, Explosives and explosive devices, Replica or imitation explosive material or devices, Mines and other explosive military stores, Grenades of all types
Gas and gas containers, e.g., butane, propane, acetylene, oxygen—in large volume, Fireworks, flares in any form and other pyrotechnics (including party poppers and toy caps), Non-safety matches, Smoke-generating canisters or cartridges, Flammable liquid fuel, e.g., petrol/gasoline, diesel, lighter fluid, alcohol, ethanol, Aerosol spray paint, Turpentine and paint thinner, Alcoholic beverages exceeding 70% by volume (140% proof).
Chemical and Toxic Substances; any chemical or toxic substances which poses a risk to the health of passengers and crew or the security/safety of aircraft or
property, including, disabling or incapacitating sprays, e.g., mace, pepper spray, tear gas, Radioactive material, e.g., medicinal or commercial isotopes, Poisons, Infectious or biological hazardous material, e.g., infected blood, bacteria and
viruses, Material capable of spontaneous ignition or combustion, Fire extinguishers.
Explosives, including detonators, fuses, grenades, mines and explosives, Gases: propane, butane, Flammable liquids, including gasoline, methanol, Flammable solids and reactive substances, including magnesium, firelighters, fireworks, flares, Oxidizers and organic peroxides, including bleach, car body repair kits, Toxic or infectious substances, including rat poison, infected blood, Radioactive material, including medicinal or commercial isotopes, Corrosives, including mercury, vehicle batteries, Vehicle fuel system components which have contained fuel.
In addition to the items listed under "dangerous articles", the following items will not be accepted for carriage in the cabin but can be accepted in the hold once suitably packed:
Catapults
Knives with blades or length under 6cm., including letter openers, made of metal or any other material e.g. polycarbonate or ceramic
Razor blades (both open bladed and safety razors)
Tradesmen's tools
Darts
Scissors
Hypodermic syringes (unless required for genuine medical reasons, proof of same required e.g. Doctors letter)
Knitting needles
Large sporting bats and clubs (e.g. Baseball and Softball bats, Golf clubs, Hockey sticks, Lacrosse sticks, Kayak and canoe paddles, Skateboards, Fishing rods,)
Billiard, snooker or pool cues.
Ski and walking/hiking poles
Notes: Any sharp objects in checked-in baggage should be securely wrapped to prevent injury to screeners and handling personnel.
15. Online check-in
15.1 Online Check-In Times
Passengers can online check-in from 72 hours up to 3 hours prior to flight departure on www.aerarann.com.
15.2 Boarding
Passenger's who check-in online must be at the boarding gate 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation and to deny you boarding if you do not comply with this deadline.
15.3 Delays
If you check the arrival information for your flight and notice that there is a delay expected, please ensure you arrive at the airport at the advised time in case our airport staff are able to reduce the delay, unless otherwise advised by an Aer Arann delay text message indicating an alternative time to arrive at the airport.
15.4 Documentation:
Online check-in passengers must present a valid form of photo-identification at both airport security and the departure gate. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation and to deny you boarding if you arrive at the boarding gate without your boarding card and photo identification.
15.5 Baggage Allowance for Passengers Checking-In Online:
One (1) item of hand baggage per passenger, weighing up to 7kg with maximum dimensions of 20cm x 28cm x 43cm (8x11x17ins). Hand luggage must contain NO prohibited items. No other baggage is permitted when using online check-in (including mobility equipment which must be carried in the hold of the aircraft). We reserve the right to cancel your reservation and to deny you boarding if you arrive at the boarding gate with luggage in excess of your cabin allowance.
15.6 The following passengers cannot use online check in:
- Passengers travelling with baggage that needs to be checked-in.
- Children up to 16 years travelling alone
- Passengers travelling with infants
- Passengers travelling with mobility equipment (including children's buggies)
- Passengers who require special assistance at the airport
