Getting Around

By Bus
The airport, together with the bus operators Stagecoach Manchester, Trent and Arriva North West, provide skyline buses, which run approximately every half-hour to Manchester Airport from a variety of areas including Altrincham, Cheadle, Didsbury, Hulme, Manchester University, Stockport, Withington, West Didsbury, Woodhouse Park and Wythenshawe.

Buses running between Manchester city centre and the airport have a journey time of approximately 55 minutes.

By Rail
From Monday to Saturday there are approximately 6 trains an hour in operation between the Airport and Manchester Piccadilly station, from 05:40 to 23:30, and then one every hour during the night. Journeys take in the region of 25 minutes. There is a reduced service operating on Sunday. In addition, direct train services provide links to the Airport's railway station from most other major stations in Northern England and Scotland including Blackpool, Bolton, Edinburgh, Huddersfield, Leeds, Preston, Sheffield, and York.

By Road
The airport is well signposted from Junction 5 on the M56.

By Taxi
Taxi ranks are situated at all terminals close to Arrivals and all taxis operating from the airport are licensed by Manchester City Council.

Manchester Airport is situated approximately 10 miles (16 kilometres) to the South of Manchester city centre.

Parking
The airport offers both long and short stay car parks with a total of 14,000 spaces, which can be pre-booked.
